An Israeli soldier was wounded at dawn Friday in a stabbing operation at the Rantis checkpoint, northwest of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, while the exit was shelled.
The Israeli army admitted that a soldier was wounded during the operation, and the suicide bomber, who also tried to disarm the soldier, was shot dead.
And the Hebrew media indicated that Israeli forces had closed the Rantis checkpoint and moved additional forces intensively around the area.
Later, the Palestinian Health Ministry said it had received a report from the General Directorate of Civil Affairs that a citizen had been killed near the Rantis military checkpoint, west of Ramallah.
