Russia’s Ministry of Finance Reveals Spending Figures for National Project

Data from the Russian Ministry of Finance showed that Russian budget spending on national projects in the fields of science, universities, culture and demography amounted to 1.15 trillion rubles ($14 billion).

And the Russian Ministry of Finance reported on its Telegram channel that “as of June 1, Russian budget expenditures for the implementation of national projects amounted to 1.15 trillion rubles, which is equivalent to ($14 billion), which means 38.4% of the planned budget allocations.”

“According to preliminary data, federal budget expenditures for the implementation of national projects until June 1, 2023 amounted to 1 billion 150.4 billion rubles, or 38.4 percent of the planned budget allocations,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also noted the highest performance indicators in national projects in the sectors of “science and universities” (65.2%), “culture” (63.4%), “demography” (46.4%).

She added that the level of implementation of the national project in the field of “ecology” was 42.6%, the national project in the field of “small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual initiatives” reached 28.7%, and the national project in “education” reached 32.8%.
