Ukrainian officer Denis Yaroslavsky reported that the Russian army already controlled more than a third of the city of Artyomovsk.

He told the Ukrainian website Strana: “The Russians have occupied more than a third of Bakhmut (the Ukrainian name for Artimovsk). It must be admitted that the enemy is learning and developing. in moving here.” The army confirmed that the situation in the city is still tense.

Earlier, the Ukrainian soldier of the Adam battalion, Yevgeny Kozernov, said that the Russian army had advanced up to eight kilometers near the city of Artemovsk.

As Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner, noted, fierce battles are going on for every house in the northern quarters of the city.

Last week, adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Igor Kemakovsky, said that the Kyiv authorities on the evening of February 2 began to hastily collect additional reserves in the area of ​​the city of Artemovsk.

Meanwhile, Russian troops, according to him, are about to control the entire ring around the city, now they have entrenched themselves on the eastern borders, and artillerymen control all the entrances to the city.

The city of Artemovsk, in the part of the republic controlled by the Kyiv authorities, is located north of Gorlovka, which is an important transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian group in the Donbass.

Currently, there are fierce battles for control of the city, and Wagner forces have managed to completely take control of the northern and eastern outskirts of the city.
