Russia and Ukraine have agreed to ban warships, aircraft and drones from within 10 nautical miles (18.5 km) of ships carrying Ukrainian grain through an agreed safe passage.

On Monday, Reuters cited an implementation manual for a grain export agreement signed in late July by representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN, which said “the two sides will not launch any attacks on commercial or other civilian vessels.” and port infrastructure participating in the initiative”.

“No warship, aircraft or drone will approach from a distance of more than 10 nautical miles a commercial vessel sailing along the maritime humanitarian corridor, except in the territorial waters of Ukraine,” the document says.

On July 22, a package of documents was signed in Istanbul to address the problem of food and fertilizer supplies to world markets. One of the agreements regulates the procedure for the export of grain from the Black Sea ports controlled by Kyiv.
