A report in the English press on Sunday suggested that Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, were keen to sell the club outright.
The Fenway Sports group welcomed the sale of the club’s assets, but the deal’s formula has not been confirmed.
According to British newspaper The Telegraph, Liverpool’s owners want to sell the entire club and offers are expected to come in within the next month.
The newspaper said that the group was supposed to sell the club at the end of 2023, but it looks like things will go faster.
Liverpool have been suffering on a technical level of late as the team’s results have declined and their ranking has dropped to eighth in the Premier League standings.
