Chelsea are keen to settle the deal quickly, given competition from Manchester United and Newcastle United for the Brazilian star.
Chelsea’s commitment to Neymar came at the request of Mauricio Pochettino, the London team’s new manager who previously coached the Brazilian star at Paris Saint-Germain (2021-22).
The Brazilian star scored 18 goals and had 17 assists in 29 matches in all competitions before he suffered an ankle injury in February and was sidelined for the remainder of the season. Despite his good performance with little participation, he did not fare well in the French capital and he was often exposed. He was criticized by the club’s fans, which may have pushed him to leave, despite the fact that he had a contract with the Parc des Princes for another four years.
However, it is too early to say whether Neymar would be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea will not participate in the Champions League next season. In addition, it was previously reported that the Brazilian is only interested in moving to Manchester United if he decides Go away, Paris Saint-Germain.
