English press reports have revealed the terms of Mohammed Salah’s new contract with his club Liverpool, which stipulates that the Egypt captain will receive the highest salary in the history of the English club.
And Liverpool today announced that Salah has signed a long-term contract with the team, without specifying its duration and cost.
But the Daily Mail reported that the new contract would keep Salah at Anfield until June 2025.
And she continued: “Salah’s new contract includes £400,000 a week”, adding that the contract made Salah the highest salary in Liverpool’s history.
Salah’s old contract with Liverpool expires on June 30, 2023, and both sides have been in long and tense negotiations in recent months to extend it before they reached an agreement on Friday.
Salah scored 23 Premier League goals for Liverpool last season and shared the Golden Boot with Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min.
Overall, the 30-year-old Egyptian has scored 156 goals in 254 games for Liverpool in various competitions since joining him in 2017 from Rome.
