Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the detention of Russian journalists in Estonia

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that the Russian embassy in Estonia is doing everything possible to help Izvestia journalists detained there.

“The Russian Embassy in Estonia keeps the situation under control and takes all the necessary steps to provide the necessary assistance to Russian journalists, a consular officer has been sent to them,” Zakharova said.

And the Izvestia newspaper previously reported that its correspondent Ksenia Soldatova and photographer Dmitry Timofeev were arrested in Estonia, and it is not known why they were arrested and what charges they were charged with.
