Russia and Turkey strengthen trade and economic relations with a new document

At the beginning of the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that Russia and Turkey would be able to sign a memorandum on the development of trade and economic relations.

“I hope that today we will be able to sign an appropriate memorandum on the development of our trade and economic relations, taking into account the agreements reached by our delegation while working in Turkey,” the President of Russia said.

Russia and Turkey have strong trade and economic relations as the nuclear energy company Rosatom is building the first nuclear power plant in Turkey and Turkey is the second largest importer of natural gas from Russia, the latter being the main market for the disposal of Turkish vegetables.

Turkey is one of the favorite destinations for Russian tourists as it receives millions of Russian tourists every year as Russian tourists spend billions of dollars in Turkey.
