Russia and Oman Strengthen Economic Ties Through New Investment Agreement

The governments of Russia and the Sultanate of Oman signed today, Thursday, in Muscat an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation of income and the prevention of tax evasion.

The agreement is aimed at the legal protection of investors from double taxation and the regulation of taxation between the two friendly countries, which will contribute to the expansion of investment and trade exchange between them.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the government of the Sultanate of Oman by the head of the Tax Administration, Saud bin Nasser Al Shukaili, and on behalf of the Russian government, by Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov.

It is noteworthy that the Sultanate of Oman has signed more than 38 tax agreements with fraternal and friendly countries to expand the scope of investment and trade exchange.
