Pirlo resumes training in Italy with Sampdoria

Former player and current manager Andrea Pirlo has returned to Italy to manage Sampdoria in the second division after a technical experience in Turkey with Fatih Karagumruk, the Italian club said on Tuesday.

Sampdoria have confirmed in a statement posted on their official website that Pirlo has signed a contract until 30 June 2025.

Pirlo, a former midfielder for Italy, AC Milan and Juventus, is still looking for himself as a manager after two separate events.

The 2006 world champion began his training career with Juventus in the summer of 2020 before being sacked after just one season, despite his success in retaining a place in the Champions League tournament (Juventus finished fourth) and winning the local Super Cup. and cup titles.

Pirlo, who was away from the stadiums for a year for recreation, returned to the world of training with the Turkish capital, Istanbul, Fatih Karagumruk, but his adventure again did not last long, as he left Turkey 3 stages before the end of the league in May, when his team was in ninth place ( he finished the season in seventh place).

On the other hand, Sampdoria is suffering from a severe financial crisis as it finished bottom of the league table last season before being taken over by new owners and a group of investors led by Leeds’ English president, an Italian businessman, at the end of May. Andrea Radisani.
