Iranian President Sees Great Potential for Strengthening Bilateral, Regional, and Global Collaboration with Emir of Qatar

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said today, Tuesday, that his country and Qatar have good potential to expand bilateral, regional and international cooperation with each other due to their similar views.

In a phone call he received today from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, Raisi, for his part, congratulated the Emir of Qatar and the people of his country on the blessed Eid al-Adha.

Raisi said, “Iran and Qatar, according to their concurring views, have good potential to expand bilateral, regional and international cooperation with each other,” expressing gratitude to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and the Prime Minister for their interest in promoting joint programs. and agreements with Iran.

He added, “Islamic Republic of Iran has always focused on raising the level of relations and developing cooperation with Qatar, and the development of bilateral relations will strengthen regional and international cooperation between them to the maximum.”

For his part, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, expressed sincere congratulations to the President of Iran on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, emphasizing his country’s readiness to expand economic cooperation and investment in Iran, Fars reported.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad indicated that, given the good discussions and consultations that took place during the development of relations, “we are ready to hold a meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation in the near future,” according to Fares.
