Defender Gerard Piqué is in early talks with Barcelona to negotiate a pay cut on his contract over the coming period.
And in the last period, there was news of Barcelona’s intention to do without Piqué due to the decline in his rating in the list of defenders of the team compared to his high salary.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have decided to negotiate with Piqué to sign a new contract until the summer of 2024, with a significant pay cut.

She added that Pique did not mind and even welcomed the change in his contract and the reduction in his salary to help Barcelona in their economic crisis.
Piqué joined Barcelona in 2008 from Manchester United for €5 million and has made 603 appearances with the Catalan club in all competitions, scoring 53 goals.
