Oil Prices Rise Despite US Data

Oil prices rose in trading today, Thursday, despite an unexpected decline in US oil inventories.

By 15:20 Moscow time, futures for US West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.26% to $76.86 per barrel.

At the same time, futures for Brent crude rose by 0.31% to $82.92 per barrel, according to data from Bloomberg.

U.S. Energy Information Administration data released on Wednesday showed oil inventories fell by 1.7 million barrels last week. This is the first decline in black gold stocks in the US this year.
