Tesla CEO Elon Musk has offered to release drug convicts in the US due to President Joe Biden’s efforts to bring basketball player Britney Grainer back from Russia.
“If the president is working so hard to get someone out of Russia for drugs, why not free people in America who are incarcerated for the same reasons,” Musk said.
According to Musk, people should not be jailed for their non-violent actions.
Britney Grenier was detained at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport last February on charges of trying to smuggle drugs into Russia.
