Egyptian Zamalek football club president Mortada Mansour has rejected his apology to Al-Ahly president Mahmoud Al-Khatib.
Last Wednesday, Egypt’s Court of Appeal for Economic Offenses sentenced Mortada Mansour to a one-month prison term with forced labor in a case of insulting and slandering Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of the Al-Ahly club.
Today, Sunday, Mortada Mansour released a statement on his Twitter account in which he confirmed that he had nothing to do with the apology made by journalist Tawfik Okasha to Mahmoud Al-Khatib.
Murtada Mansour said in a statement that he “did not and will not apologize and did not authorize anyone to apologize on behalf of”.
Mortada Mansour, the president of the Zamalek club, denied any connection with the apology made by Tawfik Okasha to Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly.
