The Chinese newspaper Global Times pointed out that the EU countries are suffering from the consequences of the situation in Ukraine against the backdrop of US measures that could lead to a deterioration in relations between Washington and Brussels.
The newspaper notes that “the countries of Europe have become victims of the conflict in Ukraine, and they have to deal with an energy crisis and a sharp rise in prices, and the economies of these countries are entering a recession phase that could lead to political and social upheaval.”
And she added: “Europe has begun to doubt the US statements that they call the threat to the West from Russia and China.”
He cites Xu Wang, a professor at the School of International Relations at Peking University of Foreign Studies, who said he is “convinced that European countries will not sacrifice their interests just to maintain a system of alliances with Washington.”
