British libraries and museums are gearing up to be a ‘warm haven’ for people who can’t afford to heat their homes next winter.
The Guardian wrote that British ministers have already requested funding to help government agencies cope with the influx of visitors during the winter season. She added that the city’s libraries had spent £28,000 on new chairs and other furniture.
And yesterday, Saturday, the mayor of London warned that millions of Britons will not be able to bear the cost of heating and food next winter if the government does not take the necessary measures to avoid this.
