Iran’s foreign exchange reserves tripled

The International Monetary Fund has revealed Iran’s “available and controllable” foreign exchange reserves for 2022.

According to the IRNA agency, “the latest report from the International Monetary Fund showed that Iran’s available and controllable foreign exchange reserves amounted to $41.39 billion during 2022, registering a three-fold increase compared to the previous two years.”

The report goes on to say: “Iran’s available foreign exchange reserves stood at $41.39 billion in 2022, compared to $12.43 billion in 2020.”
