Kabulov: There is a risk of the appearance in Ukraine of aircraft and helicopters of the former Afghan forces

Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan Damir Kabulov said that Russia does not want about 100 planes and helicopters to appear in Ukraine, which delivered Afghan soldiers to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan a year ago.

Kabulov added in an interview with the Novosti agency: “It is important for us that the helicopters and planes that arrived in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan do not end up in Ukraine when the Afghan military and military leaders fled and transported several dozen helicopters and planes: especially about 60 planes and helicopters to Tajikistan and 40 to 50 helicopters and planes to Uzbekistan.

Last August, after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, Afghan Air Force pilots and their relatives fled to neighboring Uzbekistan on Afghan Air Force planes and helicopters.

Then the local media, citing Uzbek officials, stated that the republic does not intend to return these helicopters and planes to Afghanistan, since they are American property.
