Egypt issues statement after murder of Ukraine’s interior minister

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement after Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Mnastirsky and his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin were killed in a helicopter crash.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, expressed his sincere condolences to the government and people of Ukraine in connection with the death of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and a number of officials and citizens. , after the helicopter crash today, January 18″.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed sincere sympathy to the families of the victims of this painful accident, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

Interior Minister of Ukraine Denis Manastyrsky and his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin died in a helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv region, Ukrainian police sources said.

This was announced by the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko on his official channel in the Telegram application, where 9 heads of internal affairs were on board the helicopter, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, First Deputy and State Secretary for Internal Affairs, Lobkovich.

For their part, the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the murdered Minister of the Interior and his assistants from the leadership of the department were heading to one of the hot spots of the conflict.

This morning in Brovary, Kyiv region, a Ukrainian army helicopter crashed near a kindergarten, killing 18 people, including three children, and at least 26 people, including 12 children, were injured.
