Russian-Iranian negotiations on the completion of the corridor "North South"

Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazerbash and Special Assistant to the President of Russia Igor Levitin discussed expanding cooperation in the field of transport and completing the construction of the North-South transport corridor.

The meeting took place on Tuesday as part of Levitin’s visit to Iran these days as the head of the Russian economic delegation, during which he discussed bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation with Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Levitin also discussed strengthening financial and banking relations between Iran and Russia at a meeting with Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin.

Levitin also participated in the opening ceremony of a railway project linking Iran and Russia, and local reports said that the landing of a helicopter carrying a Russian guest and Iranian officials at a stadium in the city of Astara in Gilan province in northern Iran caused a delay in the match. “Municipality of Astara and Miss Babak” within the First Football division for 40 minutes.
