The regional defense headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported that as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces, a fire broke out in the Galaktika shopping center in Donetsk, the center was evacuated without casualties.
“As a result of the direct targeting of Ukrainian forces in the largest shopping center in Donetsk, Galaktika, located in the Leninsky district of the city, a major fire broke out, the facade and roof of the building were damaged, citizens were evacuated. “According to preliminary data, there were no casualties,” the report says.
Earlier it was reported that about 100 civil defense officers tried to put out a fire in a large shopping center in Donetsk after it was directly fired upon by Ukrainian security forces.
This happened the day after the fierce Ukrainian shelling of residential areas in the city center.
