Coordination center in Istanbul approved the dispatch of two new grain carriers from Ukraine

The United Nations announced that the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul has approved the dispatch of two new grain carriers from Ukraine on Tuesday 9 August.

The UN statement indicated that two ships would leave the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk with more than 70,000 tons of food.

MV OCEAN LION will leave Ukraine for Incheon (South Korea) with 64.7 thousand tons of corn.

The second ship is MV RAHMI YAGCI, which will deliver 5300 tons of sunflower oil to Istanbul.

This comes as part of a deal between Russia, the UN, Turkey and Ukraine to transport grain from Ukrainian ports through safe passages in the Black Sea.
