Zelensky accused the EU of delaying financial assistance to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky accused the European Union of creating artificial obstacles to provide financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 8 billion euros.

“Every day, in different forms, I remind some EU leaders that Ukrainian pensioners, displaced persons, dependents and other people who depend on our budget should not become hostages to indecision and European bureaucracy,” Zelensky said in a video message on Thursday.

He continued: “Euro 8 billion for Ukraine is still pending. This artificial obstruction of financial assistance to our country is either a crime or a mistake, and it is difficult to say which is worse than the two.

According to him, Zelensky refused to specify which country or European countries are blocking aid to Ukraine.

“We believe this is a mistake and will be corrected,” he added.
