World Cup 2022.. Giro will go down in the history of the French team

Olivier Giroud became France’s historic goalscorer when he opened the scoring against Poland in the first half of France’s 3-1 victory in the World Cup final in Qatar.

Giroud scored in the 44th minute to increase his international tally to 52 goals ahead of his former partner Thierry Henry who had held the record since 2009.

It is the 36-year-old Jiro’s fourth goal in a World Cup final, 12 days after a 4-1 double against Australia in the first round of the World Cup group stage in Qatar and eight years after his first goal. in the group stage of the World Wedding Championship against Switzerland (5-2) in 2014.

Giroud didn’t score at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but helped France win the title.
