Senior US officer: EU outraged by Washington’s policy towards Ukraine and China

Former Deputy Commander of the US Navy Seth Cropsey said that Washington’s European allies are unhappy with his policy towards the Ukraine crisis and methods of containing China.

Cropsey told the National Interest that the United States was facing a serious problem and that European policy toward Russia and China was incompatible with American policy.

He added that France and Germany have sought to get rid of US control since the Cold War, and this explains the desire of Paris and Berlin to reach a settlement to the Ukrainian crisis, as this has led to an increase in Washington’s interference in the internal affairs of Europe.

He pointed out that the American law to reduce inflation has become another reason for exacerbating disagreements between the European Union and the United States, and that this document poses a threat to European industries, as it does not contain provisions indicating how the European economy will be compensated for the losses that will befall it.

Western countries are facing soaring energy prices and unprecedented inflation due to sanctions against Moscow and attempts to phase out Russian fuel, while European industries have lost many of their competitive advantages, which have greatly eclipsed the economy.
