US State Department spokesman Ned Price confirmed that Washington views the Vostok 2022 maneuvers in Russia, which will involve China, India and other countries, as ordinary exercises.
“Countries usually make their own sovereign decisions. It is their absolute prerogative,” Price said.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the Vostok-2022 strategic exercises from August 30 to September 5.
The Chinese Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the Chinese army will take part in the exercises in Russia.
