Washington Appoints Lynn Tracy Ambassador to Moscow

The United States has nominated diplomat Lynn Tracy as Washington’s ambassador to Moscow, expressing the hope that she will be appointed soon.

Tracy has served as U.S. Ambassador to Armenia since 2019, while U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan served for three years but recently ended his job ahead of schedule due to personal circumstances.

The US administration has expressed hope to appoint her as soon as possible to replace Sullivan, and the timing of her arrival and official appointment will depend on whether Russia agrees to accept her as ambassador at a time of great tension between her and Washington. .

The American side has already handed over Tracy’s documents to Moscow, waiting for a response, the US State Department has not officially commented on this information.
