Mortada Mansour donated a million dollars

Egyptian Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour has confirmed that he will donate the Super Lusail Cup prize to an orphanage in the State of Qatar and is pending approval from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Mortada Mansour said in a statement to Nadia TV on Tuesday evening: “I am asking Ashraf Sobha, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, to allow me to donate Super Lusail Cup money to an orphanage in the country that organized the match. and as soon as he agrees, the donation will be made immediately, which means that Zamalek is respectable.”

He added: “The Zamalek board of directors is respected and has not received any money from the adviser Turki Al Sheikh, unlike the Al-Ahly club board event.”

Zamalek lost to Saudi Al-Hilal on penalties after the original match time ended in a 1-1 draw, in the Lusail Super Cup match between the Egyptian League and Saudi League champions.

The Zamalek club received a $1 million bounty for participating in the match, compared to $1.5 million received by the Saudi Arabian team after the victory.
