Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCP) Wang Yi urged people in China, Japan and South Korea to know their roots, emphasizing the impossibility of them becoming Westerners.
Addressing Japan and South Korea at the 2023 International Trilateral Cooperation Forum, Wang Yi said, “When you come to the United States, Americans see that we are all Asians. Right? They don’t see the difference. China, Japan and South Korea. We see the same thing when we go to Europe.”
