The founder of the “Wagner” forces, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that Russian troops advanced in the area of the city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) by about 160 meters in different directions, establishing more than 53 thousand square meters under their control.
The press service quotes the words of a Russian businessman: “Today, Wagner forces advanced in the city of Bakhmut at a distance of up to 160 meters in different directions, while our units took control of 53,000 square meters, and 2.7 kilometers remain under enemy control. .”
Prigozhin said yesterday that Russian troops had advanced about 120 meters in the city, establishing their control over 45,000 square meters.
Earlier, an adviser to the acting president of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said that Russian units control about 90% of the city of Artemovsk.
The city of Artyomovsk is located north of the large city of Gorlovka and is considered an important transport hub for supplying the group of Ukrainian troops in the Donbass, and since last summer there have been fierce battles for control of the city.
