UK.. Protests against high electricity prices in front of Liz Terrace’s residence

About 100 people gathered at the residence of Liz Terrace, the British Prime Minister elected from her “conservative” party, to protest against rising electricity prices.

According to Sky News, the demonstrators chanted slogans against Terrace and the policy of increasing electricity prices.

She was foreign secretary and was elected leader of the UK Conservative Party on Monday.

Terrace vowed to take all necessary steps to bring down electricity prices during her first week as prime minister and to work towards tax cuts.

This comes in light of the expected increase in electricity prices to the highest level this year by 80% as of October 1st.
