Rochdale police in Greater Manchester, UK, have announced the arrest of a suspect who was hiding inside a teddy bear.
Greater Manchester Police tweeted: “When we saw this huge bear breathing while chasing a thief, we thought something was wrong…but found the suspect inside the bear!”
Police found an 18-year-old teenager for stealing a car in May and for not paying fuel the same day.
Greater Manchester Police in Rochdale said on Facebook: “He is now behind bars after being sentenced last week to car theft, driving without a license and running from a gas station without pay.”
Police indicated that he was sentenced to nine months in prison, adding: “We hope he will have time to correct his behavior in prison.”
Our task force in the neighborhood and the divisional task force in #Rochdale I could hardly believe what they had stumbled upon last month looking for a wanted man…
We definitely had a more than tolerable time bringing one of the city’s thieves to justice last week! https://t.co/yl7SXaeomX
