Two German soldiers accused of stealing weapons planned to storm the Crimean bridge in Russia

The German magazine Stern reported that two German soldiers arrested in May on suspicion of stealing weapons and equipment from military depots in Germany were planning to attack Russia’s Crimean Bridge.

This was reported by the newspaper on Wednesday, citing the data of the investigation.

Shortly before the arrest, the two suspects discussed their intentions on the phone, since at that time the call was overheard by the special services. Soldiers have been under surveillance since the beginning of the year after storming several warehouses.

The report said that planning was at an early stage, but no details were given to the newspaper.

The investigation on suspicion of theft from warehouses is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office of the city of Kiel in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. In addition to the main accused, many other defendants are involved in the case.
