The consumer price index in Turkey slowed last June, and it comes at a time when the Turkish currency is experiencing a sharp fall.
The annual inflation rate in Turkey decreased in June 2023 to 38.21% from 39.59%, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
And the Anadolu agency indicated that this figure is the lowest in the last eighteen months, and on a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 3.92% in June 2023 compared to May 2023.
Core inflation rose at an annualized rate of 47.3% from 46.6% in the previous month, indicating that price pressures remain high.
