Turkey unveils new suicide drone

Turkish company Titra Teknoloji has developed a new Deli suicide drone, which was unveiled on Tuesday at the SAHA Expo defense exhibition in Istanbul.

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, the company’s CEO Davut Yılmaz said that the specialists are completing tests of the drones and expect them to be put into operation before the end of 2022.

The newspaper added that the drone will be able to operate independently and manually, it can be easily transported and ready for use within 15 minutes. The aircraft will be equipped with equipment to counter electronic warfare.

The drone will be able to reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h, climb to a height of up to 3.5 thousand meters, it can be used in combat at altitudes of 150-500 meters, it will carry a warhead weighing 3.1 kg.

“Among the advantages of a suicide drone is economic feasibility, given the one-time use of the aircraft, as well as the ability to operate independently,” Yilmaz said.
