Turkey Cousin of Interior Minister Shot Dead

Donmaz Soylu, cousin of Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, was shot dead in the Turkish city of Trabzon.

Donmez was attacked by a Turkish citizen after a quarrel broke out between them, so the latter fired 3 bullets at Donmaz, after which he was transferred to the State Hospital in Trabzon, after which he died, despite medical interventions.

Trabzon Governor Ismail Ustaoglu announced that the suspect had been arrested. Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu later moved to Trabzon to attend the funeral.

According to research by the Umut Foundation, which deals with individual arms statistics, Turkey is suffering from an arms proliferation crisis. Turkey ranks 14th out of 178 countries in terms of weapons, and the information says that Turkey has more than 20 million weapons.
