Former US President Donald Trump has left the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James after testifying in a case that accuses him of falsifying the true value of his estate.

Trump lawyer Alina Khaba said her client “remains firm in his position that he has nothing to hide as he seeks to inform the Attorney General of the great success of his multi-million dollar company.”
New York State Attorney General Letitia James reportedly filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump and his adult children in September last year, accusing them of fraudulently manipulating real estate values in order to obtain preferential loans and tax breaks.
Trump met with James’s lawyer on August 10, but he refused to make statements then, using the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution.
Court hearings in the case are expected to begin next October if not settled before the case is heard.
