Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the statements of the Turkish opposition about the need to take a specific position on the conflict in Ukraine are fraught with risks.
In an interview with Haberturk, Cavusoglu said: “Today we hear statements about the need to take a concrete stand. I would like to point out that we are members of NATO. We are the only country in NATO that can talk to both sides of the conflict. conflict. Who else can do it? Statements are risky and we don’t have that luxury.”
The Turkish opposition is confident that it will be able to maintain good and balanced relations with Russia if its presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu comes to power, but insists on Turkey’s NATO membership.
