The US Secretary of Defense and his Ukrainian counterpart discussed the issue of supplying Kyiv with weapons

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov the supply of American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to the Ukrainian army.

Austin discussed with Reznikov the outcome of the recent Contact Group meeting on defense assistance to Ukraine and ongoing assistance, including the recent U.S. decision on additional HIMARS multiple rocket launchers.

Specifically, Austin told his Ukrainian counterpart that aid was being delivered as soon as possible.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with RT that the geographical objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine had changed.

Lavrov noted that while the West is pumping more and more long-range weapons into Ukraine, such as HIMARS, the geographical lines of the special operation will move further than the current ones.
