Musk’s third week on Twitter was marked by more resignations and general chaos.
Axios said hundreds of employees, including key workers who fix bugs and prevent service outages, have left the company after warning Musk to “re-commit” and asked him to work “long and hard.” intensity” or leave the company.
The social media platform Twitter has informed its employees that the company’s office buildings will be temporarily closed and that the decision will take effect immediately.
The company told workers that the offices would reopen on Monday, November 21, and did not give a reason for the move.
“Please continue to abide by company policy to refrain from discussing confidential company information on social media, the press, or elsewhere,” the company said in a letter.
Employees tweet #ILoveYourWorkplace along with a welcome emoji to show they are leaving the company.
“I think when the dust settles today, there may be less than 2,000 people left,” a former Twitter employee, who asked not to be identified, told the BBC.
He noted that all the people on his team had left the company.
Before Musk took over, the company had about 7,500 employees and reportedly employed thousands of contractors, most of whom are now known to have been laid off.
