Barcelona president Juan Laporta has revealed the value of Pole Robert Lewandowski’s move from Bayern Munich to the Catalan club in response to media reports on the matter.
The Spanish newspaper El Pais previously confirmed that the total value of the deal would reach 60 million euros, but Laporta lied in this report.
Laporta was interviewed by blue garnet legend Hristo Stoichkov on the American television channel TUDN to talk about the current situation at Barcelona, but paid more attention to Lewandowski’s arrival at the Camp Nou.

Laporta responded to reports about the value of the Lewandowski deal by saying: “We made our first offer of 45 million euros plus five million in various options, within our capacity.”
He added: “Lewandowski has also adjusted his salary to match the club’s ability and we are now happy.”
He continued: “We competed against teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea and the player wanted to go to Barcelona and that’s what I like.”
Laporta confirmed that Barcelona will continue to work to strengthen their ranks during the remainder of the transfer period and that defensive deals are now a priority.
He said: “Now we will work on the defence, Xavi has referred us to a number of players and I hope we can make the Catalans happy.”
He added: “I dream of Barcelona becoming a world reference again and we are working on it. If we cannot recover economically, it will be difficult and we are trying to achieve this, but we must work.” more.”
Barcelona intended to introduce Lewandowski on Monday but decided to change their plan and did not explain the reasons for changing the presentation date of their new striker, but indicated that they would announce a new date soon.
