The New York City Department of Emergency Management is issuing guidance on how to act during… "nuclear strike"

The New York City Department of Emergency Management released a video containing instructions on how citizens should behave in the event of a nuclear attack on the city.

The instructions recommend hiding inside any building and away from windows and doors, then discard clothing that may have been exposed to radiation, and take a shower.

After that, citizens, according to the instructions in the video, must wait for further instructions, which will be sent to mobile phones or published through the media.

“The likelihood of any nuclear weapons accidents in or around New York City is extremely low, but it is important that New Yorkers know what steps they need to take to stay safe,” the Department of Emergency Management said in a statement.
