A small fire broke out at St. George’s Church in Shubra, Egypt, as a result of a short circuit.

Security forces, supported by fire engines and ambulances, arrived at the scene of a limited fire in the courtyard of St. George’s Church in Shubra, Egypt, and brought it under control.

The fire was determined to be limited to a power cable, and an investigation suggested it was caused by a short circuit in one of the connections, with no casualties reported.

The priest of the Church of the Great Martyr Mar Gerges on the island of Badran in Shubra, Egypt, denied reports of the existence of a fire inside the church.

The priest explained that a generator caught fire in the yard, and the flame reached the branches of the tree, and it was immediately extinguished, there were no human and material losses.
