Virtala stated that the sequel to 2010’s Alan Wake had reached a stage in development where it can be played from beginning to end during a conference call with investors.

He declared, “Alan Wake 2 is in full production.” The game will soon be finished and playable from beginning to end. The experience will then be polished after that.

“Alan Wake is an exceptional brand with significant value for the business today.”

After a few years of development, the game entered full production in May 2022. In July, motion and voice capture started.

Alan Wake 2: What Is It?

The business announced the game by saying, “After 11 long years, the writer’s homecoming is a reality, and the perils lurking in the dark are even more frightening than the Taken prowling Bright Falls. As our first foray into the survival horror subgenre, Alan Wake 2 “turns up the level of dread, so expect a terrifying encounter with typical psychological horror themes.”

Although little information has been released about the game since its initial reveal in December 2021, additional information is anticipated to be released soon. That covers details on the game’s mechanics, plot, and even Remedy’s actual gameplay.

The release of Alan Wake 2 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S is planned for 2023.
