Tajikistan brings back 104 citizens from Syrian Al-Khol camp

The Tajik Foreign Ministry announced the return of 104 of its citizens from ISIS detention camps in Syria on Sunday.

“On the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, on May 21, a second group of 104 people, including women, teenagers and children, was repatriated from Syria by a special flight from Syria,” the ministry said.

She added that all these women and children were detained in Syrian camps, and many of them are the dead wives of militants of terrorist organizations.

He pointed out that “at the request of the Kazakh side, five citizens of Kazakhstan, a mother and four children were transferred from Syria to Tajikistan on this flight.”
