Answering a question about the geopolitical significance of Taiwan, the politician noted that security and peace in the Taiwan Strait are also important for the global economy. “I think many people know that Taiwan is a major world manufacturing center for high-tech products and plays an indispensable role in the global supply chains of the semiconductor industry,” she said.

The President of Taiwan said that the Taiwan Strait is the main shipping route connecting the East China Sea and the South China Sea, “Therefore, peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait are linked to the stability of global high-tech supply chains.”
