Director General of the Algerian energy complex “Sonatrach” Taufik Hakkar confirmed today, Sunday, that the destination of Algerian gas intended for export has not yet changed.
In statements during the presentation of the results of the first half of 2022, Taufik explained that “to this day there is no change in the destination of the exported Algerian gas”, stressing that “if this happens, Sonatrach has every right to take the necessary measures.”
Hakkar said that “the complex has activated the gas price review clause with partners and, according to him, the negotiations are very advanced,” noting that “the complex has received several requests from European countries to supply it with gas, as it sees Algeria as a guaranteed place energy assignments.
