Barcelona right-back Serginho Dest joins Eindhoven on loan
Introduction
American right-back Serginho Dest has joined Eindhoven on loan from Barcelona, according to the Spanish Football League champions on Monday.
Loan Agreement
The Catalan club said in a statement that Dest will be loaned “until June 30, 2024”, adding that the Dutch club has “the option to buy the American player” on a permanent basis.

He continued: “Barcelona will withhold a percentage if Dest is sold in the future.”
Dest’s Career
Dest, who has played 26 matches with Team USA since 2019, was born in the Netherlands and was loaned out for the second season in a row, having spent the last season of 2022-2023 at the Italian shirt Milan.
In the Italian experience, the 22-year-old was not very lucky as he only played 8 league games and 14 in all competitions in the colors of the Rossoneri.
Barcelona signed Dest in 2020 from Ajax Amsterdam and he has made 72 appearances in the colors of the Blaugrana.
During his only season with Ajax’s first team, which was part of his age groups from 2012 to 2019, Dest had an excellent performance in 38 matches played against him, which prompted Barcelona to use his services.
